This question is often asked and is a simple answer. The answer is, there is no specific number of homes you should look at before buying a home. Buying a home is a big decision and is normally made together as a family and it is not uncommon to have to view the property at least twice before you make an option to purchase.
Selling your current home before buying a new home?

Should I buy another before selling my current home?
There is no direct answer to this question as it depends case by case on the unique situation faced by the buyer of the condo or private property. If you are in this situation, it is best that you arrange an appointment to speak with me.
When will I know the TOP or completion date of my property?
The date set for you to move into the property, known as the TOP date or the property completion date. The TOP date will be made known usually during the sales process or options to purchase stage. If in doubt, you may contact me for further assistance.
Should I buy or continue to rent?
Buying a home can be a very solid investment. This being said, renting can also be a better option for some, depending on the circumstances. There are questions that you should ask yourself before deciding to buy a home. One of the most important things to consider is the length you plan on staying in a home, if you were to purchase. If the answer is only a few years, it’s likely the better decision is to continue renting.
Can I pull out of my property purchase?
This really depends on the situation and is normally advised on a case by case basis. But normally speaking, prior to exchange of contracts, either party is able to withdraw from the transactions. However, once contracts have been exchanged, remedies for ‘breach of contract’ would be available for the suffering party. At this point, the seller would be able to keep your deposit. How long does it take to buy a condo or property?
The length of time it takes to take buy a property varies and no 2 transactions are the same. It depends on several factors and might be made a little more complex if you need to time the selling of your existing home. But, on average, the time taken is roughly between 4 to 10 weeks before contracts are exchanged and confimed.
Should I talk with a bank before looking to buy a condo or private property?
The short answer is Yes, because in speaking to a bank, before looking at homes can help you understand exactly how much you can afford. If you’re a first time home buyer, talking with a bank before looking at homes is strongly suggested.
